The staff at EWUMC is a close-knit group of Christian teachers who work well together to give their students a well-rounded education that meets the needs of the preschool aged child. The teachers plan their curriculum to include music, art, science, language arts, math, character education, Bible lessons, as well as cognitive skills, and small and large motor skills. We believe preschool should a fun and safe place for your child to be nurtured and to grow, and we enjoy celebrating special holidays and special events during the year.
All our staff meet the State of California educational requirements, have passed background checks, and are all CPR and First Aid certified.
Miss Carol
Miss Carol is the Director at EWUMC Preschool. She has been the Director at EWUMC Preschool since May 2012. Miss Carol graduated with honors from Cal State L.A. with a B.A. in Child Development and has been a teacher and Preschool Director for over 44 years. She has watched her preschool students grow up over the years and now has had the opportunity to teach their children as well.
Miss Carol is a member of the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and their State (CAEYC) and local affiliations (SCAEYC).
Miss Margaret
Miss Margaret teaches our 3-year-old class. She has been working at EWUMC Preschool since August 1995.
Miss Lupe
Miss Lupe teaches our 4-year-old class. She has been teaching at EWUMC Preschool for 8 years. Miss Lupe has a great time with all the children. She has over 17 years’ experience working with young children and finds it to be both rewarding and an educational experience. She chose the Child Development field because she feels she can make a difference in a young child’s life.
Miss Roseann
Miss Roseann teaches Pre-K. She has been working with children for 21 years, and at a young age always knew that she wanted to be a teacher. She is a proud mom of a 26-year-old son who is currently serving our country in the Army and a 3-year-old son who also attends our preschool. In her free time, she enjoys being around her family and her friends.
Miss Joni
Miss Joni is our substitute teacher. She also has been the Sunday Nursery attendant for the church for the last 10 years. She has two children who also attended our preschool.
Miss Rachel
Miss Rachel attended Cerritos College and completed 15 ECE units. She has been teaching for 16 years. She has taught at EWUMC Preschool for 6 years, and has recently returned as the teacher in our 2 year old class. She has two children, a daughter and a son.
